The hot pepper variety Aji Brown Picante belongs to the species Capsicum chinense and has medium hot fruits that are good for drying. The origin of the variety is unknown, but Ajís generally originate in South America (Andean region). The long fruits are ripening in a nice chocolate brown color. The plants of Aji Picante Brown are very high and the ripening of the fruits starts late like from the species Capsicum baccatum. The chilli's are durable and should be cut for drying.
